Garry Hynes, Artistic Director, Druid, first started working with playwright Tom Murphy in 1984 when he became Writer–in–Association with the company. During the mid 1980s, Druid presented the world premieres of Conversations on a Homecoming and Bailegangaire, Siobhan McKenna’s swansong.

A working career that spans almost thirty years has led to the presentation of DruidMurphy – Plays by Tom Murphy. This promises to be an engaging and insightful discussion between two of Ireland’s greatest theatre makers and journalist and author Fintan O’Toole.
