A US film that criticises capitalism

CAPITALISM SEEMS not so much a preferred approach to economics in the USA, more a religion, a sacred, unquestionable practice. All the more interesting then that it is American which has produced a film like 99 Homes.

99 Homes, a searing critique of capitalism as it functions in present-day American real estate, and will be screened by the Galway Film Society this Sunday at 8pm in the Town Hall Theatre.

Described as "a tough, muscular, idealistic drama that packs a mighty punch", by The Guardian, it focuses on Dennis (Andrew Garfield ), who has fallen behind on his mortgage payments due to lack of work....
