"When I try to get a melody it never comes to me. It usually comes to me either when I'm resting or when I'm just sitting at the piano improvising, or when I'm skipping with my skipping rope." - Alma Deutscher
The 2017 Midwinter Festival takes child prodigies as its inspiration. Every work in the weekend programme will have been written before or by the age of eighteen. An amazing range of music by incredibly talented prodigies from down through the ages.
