"A deceptively simple story, told beautifully…backed by stunning sean-nós songs" (Connacht Tribune)
She waits. The sun sets. Sailors die.
Following a sold out run at this year’s Galway Theatre Festival, Brú returns for four performances of Cleite, an immersive, site specific piece of masked theatre performed in Katie’s Cottage in the heart of the Claddagh. Performed by Philippa Hambly with live Sean nós sung by Caitlín Ní Chualáin, Cleite tells the story of a Claddagh fisherwoman waiting for her husband to return.
