 A Day In May

On a day in May 2015, the Republic of Ireland became the first nation in the world to introduce marriage equality by popular vote. This is the story of the long fight that led to that day, of the in-fighting along the way, and of the seminal campaign that finally won it. It’s a story, too, of ordinary people whose lives were caught up in the struggle, drawn from Charlie Bird’s landmark collection of interviews. Duration 80 mins, no interval

"A powerful play about a triumph of civil and human rights... A`play that everyone in Ireland should have gone to see... Brilliant." Sunday Independent

Don't miss if you've a tither of sense.” Peter Sheridan

“You’re guaranteed laughter, tears, and waves of that unnamable collective feeling we had on May 24, 2015, once more” Gay Community News
