It is with great sorrow and deep regret to our patrons and artists that we have been forced by the tragic events in Ukraine to cancel both of next Saturday’s performances of Swan Lake by Royal Moscow Ballet at the Town Hall Theatre.
We deeply regret that this decision impacts artists, namely the dancers of this company who hail from all over the world (the company is made up of different nationalities - the 2022 touring group includes Russian Nationals, Ukrainians, Belarussians, Uzbekistan Nationals, Japanese, Irish and Polish cast and crew, who have travelled, worked and lived together for years and who have always been welcome visitors to Galway). We also deeply regret the impact of this decision on the Irish promoter with whom we have worked closely for many years.
We regret any disappointment to our patrons and apologies for any inconvenience. The Town Hall box office team will be in touch with affected customers in the coming days to arrange refunds.
