Take a chance! After a difficult few years due to Covid-19, the 14th Galway Theatre Festival marks the beginning of hope and renewal as we come together to celebrate the arts and the resilience of our community.
This year’s festival asks us to explore new perspectives, challenge our assumptions, and broaden our understanding of the world around us. We are excited to work with multiple organisations to deliver this year’s festival, such as Bealtaine, Polish Arts Festival, and Town Hall Theatre to present a wide range of productions, from thought-provoking dramas, children’s theatre, comedy and workshops.
We have something for everyone, and we encourage you to take a chance on something new and unexpected. As we navigate the challenges of the post-pandemic world, the arts have an important role to play in healing, empathy-building, and imagining a better future. We believe that this festival will be a catalyst for new ideas and fresh perspectives. We would like to thank all those who have helped GTF grow and flourish - the founders, team members, board members, artists, audiences and supporters. I look forward to meeting everyone during the festival 2023.
