An Immersive Experience

Bangers and Crash Percussion, Ireland’s premier percussion ensemble will perform a unique surround-sound concert, captivating audiences with a mesmerizing blend of virtuoso performance and collaborative participation.

Led by some of Ireland’s leading percussionists: Alex Petcu-Colan, Emma King, Brian Dungan, Patrick Lynch, Paddy Nolan, and John Rousseau-Parlane the show will feature new music by composer Brian Irvine, performed by 50 young participant musicians from across Galway.

In partnership with Music Generation Galway City & County and Maoin Cheoil na Gaillamhe but open to all young musicians

24 November concert at the Black Box Theatre!

Bangers and Crash Percussion, one of Ireland’s leading contemporary percussion ensembles invites 50 young musicians to join them for their Black Box Theatre concert! This unique opportunity allows participants to accompany Bangers and Crash on two percussion compositions and become part of a one-time-only “Colony of Humans Ensemble” created for Brian Irvine’s new composition, "Call (I am) Here", inspired by the fascinating communication sounds of insects! Following two days of practice, participants will perform all three pieces live with Bangers and Crash during the concert.

Event Schedule:

DAY 1 | Friday 22 Nov: Workshop & Practice, 5pm – 7pm @ Ardilaun Hotel
DAY 2 | Saturday 23 Nov: Workshop & Practice, 11am – 4pm @ Ardilaun Hotel
DAY 3 | Sunday 24 Nov: Rehearsal & Concert, 4.30pm – 8.50pm @ Black Box Theatre
