Following the Government announcement of 28 May, theatres and cinemas are permitted to reopen from 7 June with a maximum attendance of 50 patrons. The situation will be reviewed by Government in July and the numbers may be increased from August.
The Town Hall and Black Box Theatres, in addition to our busy programme of artists’ residencies and support programmes and our eclectic (and hectic!) line up of online events, will present a limited number of live performances in the weeks and months ahead – check our website and social media channels (Facebook / Instagram / Twitter) for regular updates.
Outside of these live performances, our buildings and box office remain closed to the public for now, but patrons can book tickets online to all events at www.tht.ie Please e mail any box office queries to thtsales@galwaycity.ie Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Stay safe!
Many patrons have asked if there is a way that they can support artists or production companies during this difficult time of closures, postponements and cancellations - you will have the option of a full refund, the opportunity to transfer to the re-scheduled date where applicable or you can donate the price of one or more of your tickets to the company/artist. And you can separately support local artists via the Patron Donation Award option on our website
