We were so sorry to hear of the death of Ray McBride last evening Tues 27 July. Town Hall, theatre and Galway have lost a great friend and, in the words of President and Sabina Higgins, a superb actor, dancer and artist.
The warmth of the audience applause after last night’s performance of The Gate’s production of In MiddleTown at the Black Box Yard when Mikel Murfi spoke fondly of his memories of Ray said it all – Ray will be missed and by many.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. We will forever remember his theatre work and his dancing, his wit and his humour.
