Druid’s Artistic Director, Garry Hynes has been nominated for a Best Director award by the UK Theatre Awards for her work on the company’s major production of Sean O’Casey’s three best-known plays, The Plough and The Stars, The Shadow of a Gunman and Juno and the Paycock.
The trilogy, titled DruidO’Casey premiered at Galway International Arts Festival in July before touring to Belfast’s Lyric Theatre and the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.
