Elvis Presley served in the US army from 1958 to 1960, earning the rank of sergeant in a tank battalion of the 32nd Armor Regiment, 3rd Armored Division. Now another soldier is stepping into the King's shoes for a tribute show to the boy from Tupelo.
Rob Kingsley, a former soldier with the Royal Scots regiment of the British army, who served in the Gulf War, and was in Kosovo and Northern Ireland, has re-invented himself as an acclaimed Elvis tribute act, who has earned the praise of Elvis’s tour manager, Ed Bonja: "He sings like Elvis, looks like Elvis, hell he even walks like Elvis, he even has the on-stage charisma that Elvis had".
