EROTICA AND sexuality are the provocative and alluring themes of a bold new exhibition opening this Saturday, in both the Town Hall Theatre bar and the Black Gate Cultural Centre on St Francis Street.
Curated by Margaret Nolan, the show is teasingly entitled SIN, and across the two venues, comprises more than 40 pieces in a variety of media - painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. The exhibiting artists are Charlie Cullen, Tom Mathews, Hughie Friel, Liam Delaney, Caoimhe LaVelle, Ciara Nolan, Sabina Ñiguez, Margaret Nolan, Stephen Roche, Tony Carragher, Patrick Rodgers, Piotr Bieniasz, Finbar McHugh, and Dean Kelly. Over a Saturday afternoon coffee in Tigh Neachtain, artist/curator Margaret Nolan sat with me to talk about SIN and what viewers can expect.
