Following the Government announcement on 23 February 2021, the Town Hall and Black Box Theatres remain closed to the public. However, we will continue to present a programme of online events until we can reopen our doors and welcome you all back in - keep an eye on our website and follow us on social media for updates (Facebook / Instagram / Twitter) . Our box office is currently closed but please email enquiries to thtsales@galwaycity.ie Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Many patrons have asked if there is a way that they can support artists or production companies during this difficult time of closures, postponements and cancellations - you will have the option of a full refund, the opportunity to transfer to the re-scheduled date where applicable or you can donate the price of one or more of your tickets to the company/artist. And you can separately support local artists via the Patron Donation Award option on our website tht.ie

Following the Government announcement on 22 December, the Town Hall and Black Box Theatres remain closed to the public. However, we will continue to present an exciting programme of online events in the months ahead - keep an eye on our website and follow us on social media for updates. Box Office (phone lines 091 569777 and email thtsales@galwaycity.ie) will close 12 noon Wed 23 December and reopen Mon 4 January 10am-12 noon and 2pm-4pm Monday-Friday. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Following the Government announcement on Friday 27 November regarding the return to Level 3 Restrictions, the Town Hall and Black Box Theatres remain closed to the public for now. However, we will present an exciting and eclectic programme of online events in the weeks and months ahead – keep an eye on our website and follow us on social media for updates.

The Town Hall and Black Box Theatres are closed until the 1st of December 2020.

UPDATED Tues 6 October 2020

Following the introduction of Level 3 restrictions from midnight tonight Tues 6 October, all events at the Town Hall and Black Box Theatre for the next three weeks will have to be cancelled or rescheduled.

Full refunds will apply to customers when an event is cancelled. Also, some events beyond 27 October may be cancelled or rescheduled.

Thank you for your support and patience from all of us here at the Town Hall Theatre. Such support and understanding is appreciated!
